While his powered, like the other ancient gods, has diminished over the years - Thoth still maintains a hand in the world. He still counts several thousand followers dedicated to the advancement of science and preservation of magic in the world. In addition, he has sponsored and worked with many members of the White Council.

While he is still believed, Thoth no longer has the power to directly wield influence over the mortal world. Instead, he chooses from people that will best serve him. These people are granted his protecting and act as he would in the world.
