Avalon Club

The parent club (Avalon Club) claims its was founded in England during the 16th Century by several White Court Wizards who were aggrieved that the Council did not more heartily support the Protestant Reformation. The were mostly a group of English wizards who were protesting the White Councils hands-off policy in helping to guide the mundane government. The council frowned on their activities, but did very little to stop them other than a few stern lectures. As the British Empire expanded so did the club's followers - each time its slowly expanding membership settled around the seats of governmental power.

The club in the American colonies was originally built in New York, but it was destroyed during the American Revolution as membership split between Continentals and Tories (some members even stepped over the line and where killed by Council Wardens). The surviving members retreated to Philadelphia and increased their contacts with the Continental Congress, while they worked to rebuild their strength. In 1790 the club built new facilities in Baltimore, and the club itself renamed as the Midnighter Club. Shortly after it was sponsored and became a Freehold (as defined in the Unseelie Accords).
