-====== Miranda ======+~~NOTOC~~
 +===== Welcome to my World of Dresden =====

-Miranda is a game world that I started at [[http://www.purdue.edu/|Purdue University]] in January 1991 and ran continuously for two years when I took a hiatus after moving to [[wp>Cincinnati]]. Eventually I restarted the world with a new gaming group and ran continuously until 1998 when I began to interleave my fantasy stories with other games. However, I kept this game world alive because of the fantastic stories that have taken place here.+<WRAP right round notice 30%>

-I originally ran the game under [[http://herogames.com|HERO 4th Edition]] from 1991 until 1998At that time wanted to run more of low fantasy game so I dabbled in HARNFuzion, and even my heavily modified version of Chivalry and Sorcery in the end none of these satisfied me and so in 2011 I decided to move in a different direction and include a more story-telling system called FATE. I am currently using a slightly modified version of Legends of Anglerre and am very happy with the outcome so far.+After having read the [[wp>Dresden Files|book]] I wanted to run a game in this urban fantasy. Lucky for me [[http://www.evilhat.com/home/|Evil Hat Productions]] was coming out with such a [[http://www.evilhat.com/home/dresden-files-rpg/|game]]. Unlucky for me it was a system called [[http://www.evilhat.com/home/fate/|Fate]] that was semi-based upon [[http://www.fudgerpg.com/|Fudge RPG]] that always seemed interesting, but could not get into it. Lucky for me I did take chance on the system and I enjoy the concepts so much that have converted over [[http://miranda.bardicknowledge.com|Miranda]]my mainline fantasy gameover to use the system as well. There are some warts and head-scratchers, but it is a fun system for me to run and my players seem to enjoy it as well.

-~~TAGCLOUD~~ +===== Midnighter's Club =====
-</box>+
 +My Dresden game centers around the provided Nevermore ([[locations:Baltimore]]) area, running as far north as [[locations:Philadelphia]] and as far south as [[locations:Newport News]]. It is meant to cover that entire [[locations:Washington DC]] area and the political environment that has grown up in the area. The premise of the game is that during the Revolutionary War a spitfire of a wizard broke from the [[groups:White Council]] and formed a group to help council the emerging leaders in what was happening on the supernatural side of things. Now this [[groups:Midnighter's Club]] is seen as a old-boys network club that has high-level access to many people within the government.
 +
 +Recently members of the club have urged its founders to not only work through the [[groups:FBI]] ([[groups:Department 81]]) and other government branches, but put together their own people to help provide the assistance that the White Council will never provide.

 +===== Changes from the Dresdenverse =====

 +As with any RPG that lives inside of an existing universe there will be changes to what has happened or will happen from the books. While many of the pages for the core concepts will link off to Jim Butcher's website, Evil Hat's website, or the Dresden wikia - I will note on the page what changes from those sources in regards to my version of the universe.
