Lucas Ward

Warden of the White Council

Lucas is a member of the White Council's Wardens. Warden He appears to be under thirty years of age, and has been a Warden for five years. He carries one of the swords crafted by Captain Luccio. Anastasia Luccio

He is a slender man except he has a hint of broad shoulders. He keeps his black hair combed neatly to the side, and tries to maintain a sense of decorum about him. He prefers to dress in professional clothes, generally a dark suit with a dark tie. He has learned the hard way to reduce the tie to a clip-on after a fight with a troll where the creature nearly hung him on it.

Lucas has a stiff and formal demeanor, foregoing personal interactions over his duties.

Lucas is the second child of Felix and Irene Ward. He has one sibling, an older sister, Camille Ward.

He is physically 26 years old, though he was actually born in 1976. Camille was born in 1972.

Felix is a member of the English Peerage. While comfortable, the family was not considered wealthy. They lived in an old estate outside Braunstone, Leicestershire.

A hidden secret of the family is that his mother, Irene, used to be a hedge witch, and was of a long line. She had the powers of divination, but stepped away from it when she married. Unknown to either of his parents, her bloodline is tainted with infernal influence.

Between the age of the estate and the bloodline heritage, fairies were constantly popping in around the children. Lucas's earliest memories are of playing with the wee folk. His sister was often responsible for keeping an eye on him, and was able to drive off the less benign creatures.

When he was twelve, Camille disappeared without a trace. Lucas was sensitive enough to feel that a recent gate to the Nevernever had been opened, and was convinced that the unseelie fairies had taken his sister. His parents, especially his mother who knew of the supernatural, refused to believe it. She went to the police to try to find Camille. Camille was never found, and the situation drove a wedge between Lucas and his parents that has never been resolved.
