Camille is the older sister of Lucas Ward, a Warden for the White Council of Wizards. Like her brother her blood is tainted by demonic influence sometime in family's history.

The Ward family hold a empty English peerage, existing only as a title on paper. More importantly is that somewhere back in Westley Ward male lineage their blood became tainted by a demon. It is not known exactly which ancestor or what demon, but the tainted blood has continued through their family line. This makes them quite interesting for various creatures of the Nevernever.

Although as the daughter she could not inherit the title, she was further pushed to the sidelines when her baby brother was born when she was only 4 years old. Things continued from bad to worse as her parents doted on Lucas while constantly telling her that she should be doing better. Even worse was the fact that Lucas could not defend himself from the fae that visited him - he was too weak.

Camille stands five-foot-four (5'4“) with a trim but curvy build. She has chestnut brown hair and pale gray eyes. Her face is quite striking with high cheekbones and full lips that men find mesmerizing.
