This is the largest organization of human wizards in the world. It is a signatory of the [[dresden>Unseelie Accords]] and thus has standing as the humans in the supernatural community.


===== Senior Council =====

The Senior Council is the ruling body of the White Council. There are seven members on the Senior Council and positions are awards based upon seniority; although more senior members may defer to younger members if they do not feel fit to serve when called upon.


===== Merlin =====

Originally held by the real Merlin, this is now a title given to the leader of the Senior Council.


===== Gatekeeper =====

The Gatekeeper is the Senior Council member that has been assigned the task of watching over the warriors returning from the [[dresden>Outer Gates]] for signs of influence of the [[dresden>Nemesis]].


===== Blackstaff =====

The Blackstaff is the only member of the White Council that can break the [[dresden>Seven Laws of Magic]] if they deem is necessary. The wizard is also the keeper and user of the Blackstaff.


===== Wardens =====

The Warders are the police force of the White Council and other [[dresden>Practitioners]].
